About
I write. I teach. I teach how to write. I write how to teach.
A multi-genre writer who specializes in memoir, my debut book is now available. FUMBLE: Just a Dad Trying Not to Drop the Ball is about my experiences as Dad, both winning and not winning. It also takes a reflective look at my own childhood — the lessons I learned from my parents that helped shape me into the person I am today.
I’ve had a passion for writing since the first grade when I wrote a story about my friends fighting crime and solving mysteries. Think Hardy Boys meets Rocky Balboa meets The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe. It was silly — I know... But, my friends liked it and my Mom loved it. The spark was lit.
I specialize in memoir writing and recently earned an MFA in Creative and Professional Writing at Western Connecticut State University. My thesis was a collection of stories that explored my experiences as a younger version of myself. It’s a retrospective look at growing up in the 80s and 90s, and how those lessons have shaped me as a father, a husband, and a man navigating this ever-changing world.
